Director, RDU IT - Global Commercial Digital Platforms
Introduction to role
Lead the IT digital web development and operations team as it continues to evolve in identifying, prioritising, and delivering digital capabilities and platforms across Alexion. Provide digital thought leadership, experience, and the ability to map digital solutions to business problems while aligning with the overarching strategy and vision. This role will work cross-functionally to grow digital capabilities across all areas of the business while also being a technical leader within the IT organization.
Accountabilities
• Lead Sitecore and Web Technologies platforms and associated applications to support global website infrastructure
• Partner across ITBP and Business functional leaders on digital programs
• Establish next-level roadmap to identify emerging technology needs and business fit for web technologies
• Implement agile ways of working across teams using DevSecOps as a framework
• Identify new partnerships and opportunities to deliver digital needs
• Represent digital web technologies at senior-level business discussions
• Link digital and data to ensure end-to-end integration across the portfolio
• Direct and lead onshore, nearshore, offshore, and outsourced technical knowledge workers
Essential Skills/Experience
• Experience Leading and Managing Global Sitecore platform in a multiwebsite environment
• Experience with Cognito, WebAssets management, WebVideo distribution, Web Analytics management (GA and Adobe Analytics), AlertBot, GitHub, Jenkins, and Selenium.
• Experience leading and directing technical teams – developers, QA, and support-(direct reports and via third party agencies and providers) to deliver digital solutions
• Experience leading and delivering digital capabilities and platforms
• Experience managing digital delivery processes and procedures
• Experience with GDPR, privacy, legal and impact on digital initiatives
• Experience mapping digital data into key platforms
• Experience managing budget, P&L, backcharging methodology, OpEx and CapEx expenditures and projects.
• Must be able, with or without an accommodation to: use a computer; engage in communications via phone, video, and electronic messaging; engage in problem solving and non-linear thought, analysis, and dialogue; collaborate with others; maintain general availability during standard business hours.
Desirable Skills/Experience
• Experience delivering digital assets (websites, databases, mobile apps, medical devices, social add-ons, marketing automation connectivity)
• Experience in delivering and operationalizing global digital technologies
• Experience in agile project management, DevSecOps, development and support of complex projects and solutions
• Experience working in Biotech or Pharmaceutical
