Key responsibilties
- Leading a team of 6 Regional Account Managers (RAMs) and coordinating with the other SAM covering the other area in Spain.
- Meeting and potentially exceed individual and team annual KPI targets.
- Monitoring sales team budget ensuring strategic resources allocation.
- Monitoring sales team activity ensuring strategic focus as per call plans.
- Ensuring all customer interactions are up-loaded onto the CRM system in a timely manner.
- Providing timely and accurate sales data to the Business Unit Lead (BUL) including forecasts, sales reports, SFE metrics reports, business intelligence reports.
- Partnering with the BUL and the cross-functional Brand Team contributing to the development of strategic and tactical plans.
- Support and coordinate sales team local annual plans and ensure execution.
- Monitor business environment and adjust plans accordingly in alignment with the BUL.
- Support sales team interactions and maximizing interaction with key physicians.
- Developing relationships with new customers to unlock potential growth opportunities.
- Maintaining a regular and content-rich contact with the field team arranging appropriate individual and team meetings in coordination with the other SAM.
- Coaching and developing sales team.
- Passionate for innovation in ways of achieving business targets in line with company’s vision and values.
- Participating and providing local feedback to Global sales activities/projects.
- Ensure the sales team works according to Alexion Values, Business Ethics following Compliance and Quality requirements as per Alexion policies.
Qualifications
- Degree in science.
- Preferably with a postgraduate degree in business.
Professional experience
- More than 10 years of professional experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience in neurology and preferably with experience in rare diseases.
- 3-5 years as sales manager
