As the Associate Director of Incentive Compensation, you will be at the forefront of driving success within Alexion's Hematology and Nephrology business. This pivotal role involves leading and administering the entire end-to-end Incentive Compensation process, ensuring that our programs are strategically aligned with business objectives. Collaborate with key functional areas to optimize incentive programs and provide expert guidance on plan creation, evaluation, and benchmarking. Your leadership will be crucial in driving business success.
Accountabilities:
Design and administer field-based compensation programs that reward performance and drive results.
Conduct sophisticated research and analysis of rewards and incentive compensation programs.
Benchmark Sales Incentive Plan designs for market competitiveness.
Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to enhance data integration into incentive plans.
Lead projects developing innovative models and methodologies.
Create presentation materials for communications, training, and executive reviews.
Guide senior management through the approval of incentive plans.
Address field inquiries related to incentive compensation.
Partner with technology teams to automate performance reporting and calculations.
Monitor and analyze incentive plans continuously.
Stay informed on regulations impacting compensation programs.
Ensure compliance with Alexion processes related to incentive compensation.
Essential Skills/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Finance, Math, or related major is preferred)
Pharmaceutical validated experience, preferably in rare disease, required.
Analytics skills inclusive of sophisticated Microsoft Excel capabilities
Demonstrated understanding of various incentive compensation plans, including but not limited to commission, goal, and MBO or equivalent experience in plan designs
Detail oriented, strong problem-solving skills with a sense of urgency
Ability to quickly establish relationships of trust and credibility with internal stakeholder-partners and to be seen as a partner to the business.
High level of attention to detail paired with the ability to effectively assess and diagnose business needs and develop impactful solutions.
In-depth critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills
Proficient in sales processes and methodologies
The duties of this role are generally conducted in an office environment.
