This is what you will do:

In this role you will support members of the US Medical Excellence team as well as collaborating with cross functional partners. The summer intern will contribute to the Strategic Medical Goals of the US Medical Affairs organization by working with the US Medical Communication Leads on various activities including MSL training, congress preparation, and scientific material development.  

You will be responsible for:

  • Understanding the scientific platforms of several therapeutic areas 
  • Innovative thinking to support MSL training needs 
  • Collaborating cross functionally to support pre and post congress activities 
  • Contributing to scientific materials content development and attending Medical Review Committee meetings  
  • Joining, participating and presenting at Medical Excellence team meetings 

You will need to have:

  • Currently enrolled full-time in a graduate level scientific or clinical program – PharmD, PhD, MD, or equivalent 
  • Must currently have a 3.0 GPA or equivalent - (TMM – We do not use GPA as a criterion in our postings) 
  • Must be able to work 40 hours per week for 9 - 12 weeks Jun-August, dependent on school calendar 
  • The duties of this role are conducted in an office environment.  As is typical of an office-based role, employees must be able, with or without an accommodation to use a computer; engage in communications via phone, video, and electronic messaging; problem solve; engage in complex and non-linear thought, analysis, and dialogue; collaborate with others; maintain general availability during standard business hours 

We would prefer for you to have:

  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills and strong interpersonal skills 
  • High level of proficiency in MS Office software including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint 
  • In process of earning a Post Graduate degree or equivalent in a scientific discipline ( PhD, PharmD, MD, etc)
