Associate Director, Product Lifecycle Management
Are you ready to take on a pivotal role in the Alexion Product Management Team within Global Supply Chain & Strategy? As the Associate Director of Product Lifecycle Management, you'll be at the forefront of delivering the LCM strategy for RDU products. This position requires you to align, lead, and collaborate across functional barriers, establishing program governance to ensure the progress and timely implementation of Supply Impacting and/or New Market registration projects. You'll be responsible for driving the life cycle management governance, ensuring effective monthly product life cycle meetings, and collaborating with Strategic Product Leads to deliver the operations life cycle strategy.
Accountabilities:
• Set up and lead monthly Product Life Cycle Management meetings with cross-functional teams to review active LCM events for RDU commercial products.
• Lead the Global S&OP LCM Portfolio Review, communicating program status, deviations, and risks.
• Act as the gatekeeper for new product impacting projects, partnering with various business functions for onboarding.
• Collaborate with regulatory CMC to develop regulatory strategies and track project landmarks.
• Track regulatory approvals of changes identified as Supply Impacting and/or New Market Registration.
• Drive agreement on change control strategy and maintain project-related change controls.
• Deliver and maintain detailed transition plans for LCM projects with Global Supply Chain.
• Plan and track changeover/transition activities and project implementation milestones.
• Define and establish master data strategy with Master Data Governance.
• Identify potential risks and elaborate contingency plans with relevant collaborators.
• Support Strategic Product Leads with project prioritization and endorsement.
• Provide product-specific overviews/dashboards to the Product Management Team.
• Align with Project Leads and authorities from different functions for effective collaboration.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, regulatory requirements, EHS, and continuous improvement of quality processes.
• Handle, communicate, and resolve critical issues related to product lifecycle management globally.
• Drive product lifecycle management philosophy within AO and embed principles within associated teams.
Essential Skills/Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in business or scientific field required. Advanced degree a plus.
• 10+ years of experience handling and leading multiple complex projects/programs within the pharmaceutical industry across various functions e.g., supply chain / production and/or technical development.
• Must be able to create a highly collaborative and inclusive environmconstantly evolvingent necessary for the cross-functional teams to be effective.
• Intercultural experience and ability to act in a complex and constantly evolving business environment.
• Excellent knowledge of program and project management discipline and its application to product lifecycle management at a global and site-based level.
• Great knowledge of Smartsheet and other Project Management tools/systems.
• Consistent track record in completing effective program management skills in cross-functional matrix organizations.
• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical industry supply chain processes and lean philosophy.
• Ability to bridge between scientific, technical, and business functions for effective collaboration and driving results.
• Demonstrated success in creating and handling product life cycle programs of high complexity (NPI, pruning, divestment, integration).
• Ability to effectively implement the tools and techniques of the program and project management field, such as the development and management of multi-disciplinary program level integrated plans, critical path management, project risk management, decision analysis and meeting management.
• Excellent level presentation skills and polished written and oral communication ability.
• Ability to engage with senior management in Operations and cross-functionally.
• Consistent record of achievement and delivery of team goals.
• Strong understanding of Regulatory landscape desirable.
• Knowledge of clinical and commercial manufacturing and distribution issues that impact project/product strategy and planning desirable.
Desirable Skills/Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in business or scientific discipline required. Advanced degree a plus.
• 10+ yrs. equivalent multi / cross functional experience.
