As the Director of International Customer Operations within the RDU Global Supply Chain, you'll spearhead the development and execution of product supply chain strategies, risk management, and business continuity plans across various brands. Your leadership will be pivotal in optimizing priorities across the International Region, deploying resources effectively, and driving performance to ensure seamless operations.

Accountabilities:
In this role, you'll be responsible for optimizing supply chain processes to deliver exceptional customer service while adhering to AstraZeneca and external standards. You'll forge strong business relationships with RDU International affiliates, influencing key areas such as Market Access, Finance, Regulatory, Quality, and Commercial. Establishing service agreements with internal customers and external providers will be crucial to maximizing quality and satisfaction. You'll ensure compliance with regulations and develop customer support metrics, systems, and processes for continuous improvement. Your leadership will ensure operational readiness and training for customer operations managers, monitor programs for on-time delivery, and drive actions for successful product launches. As a key stakeholder in the Market and Regional S&OP Governance framework, you'll gather market intelligence, validate forecasts, and handle supply issues to ensure product availability. Supporting global supply chain planning processes will be vital in maintaining master data quality and ensuring timely patient treatment.

Essential Skills/Experience:
• Leads a team of GSC&S Customer Operations Managers who support the RDU International Affiliates
• Develop strong business links, relationships and influence with the Affiliate at many levels (Market Access / Finance / Regulatory / Quality / Commercial).
• Acting as the point of contact for all Supply Chain business strategies impacting Operations in the RDU International Region, e.g. new product launches and Early access programmes.
• Represent both the Supply Chain and the Affiliate for initiatives around business development, labelling, product security, packaging and supply chain innovation, asset strategy and other improvement initiatives.
• Drive the development of and adherence to Market and Regional S&OP processes in the RDU international affiliates.
• Ensure demand volumes are understood and validated, and recognition of when they need to be challenged.
• Ensure appropriate market intelligence related to demand volumes is communicated through the monthly planning cycle.
• Partner with relevant stakeholders regarding development of new product launch volumes, pipeline fill, asset change and product discontinuation volume management, etc.
• Drive improvements to forecast quality performance via collaboration with the Affiliate.
• Support the NPI process as outlined in the S&OP Guidelines.
• Appropriate actions are agreed where demand and supply cannot be balanced. These are subsequently communicated to and managed with the MC, and where necessary demand is managed.
• Ensure appropriate supply shortage root cause, resolution and reporting.
• Fully integrated in the Global Supply Chain function, participates in defining the strategy and process improvements focused on the Customer Experience. Contributes to expanding solutions driven by cost and process efficiency to broader business offerings such as introduction of a wholesaler or patient services, working closely with Commercial and Market Access in Customer accounting, segmentation and deploys most appropriate solution based on customer needs.

Desirable Skills/Experience:
• Degree or equivalent professional qualification
• Extensive supplier Management experience
