【Alexion Japan】Associate director, Market Access & Healthcare Policy
Position Summary
The associate director, Market Access & Healthcare Policy (MAHP) in Japan is responsible for monitoring healthcare system and regulatory environment affecting Alexion's business and advancing Alexion's business priority in the policy area through building, maintaining, and leveraging relationships with external stakeholders and resources. The associate director reports to a director of MAHP. The associate director works in close collaboration with the other members in MAHP and other departments in Japan as well as global teams.
Principal Responsibilities
• Analyze and assess the implications of healthcare policy/regulations affecting Alexion’s business and inform them of relevant functions and/or senior managements in a timely.
• Identify policy issues affecting Alexion’s business and develop and implement strategic action plans to overcome them.
• Develop and maintain relationships with external policy stakeholders, such as KOLs, patient advocates, academia, policy specialists, and policy makers.
• Expand Alexion’s presence in the rare disease space through participation and contribution to industry community activities.
• Provide opportunities for employees to receive education on the healthcare system and regulations
• Respond and give advice to inquiries from inside and outside the company regarding healthcare systems and regulations
• Collaborate successfully with key contacts throughout Alexion, including marketing, medical affairs, communications, patient advocacy, R&D, global counterparts, etc.
Qualifications
• Passionate and responsible for a given task
• Have leadership experience as a team or project leader.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
• Excellent problem-solving skills and strategic thinking skills
• Flexibility and adaptability to internal and external change
• Fluency in Japanese required; proficiency in English (preferred)
• Scientific and policy knowledge of rare disease space. (preferred)
• AI/SaMD knowledge (preferred)
• Knowledge of healthcare policy in general and experience of communication with government agencies. (preferred)
• Experience on the consulting firm to create strategy, solve problems(Preferred)
Education
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Advanced degree preferred (e.g. MBA, MPH, MPP)

業務内容
• 医療制度・規制によるアレクシオンビジネスに対する影響を分析・評価し、関連部署やシニアマネジメントへタイムリーに情報共有する
• アレクシオンビジネスにおける政策課題を特定し、それを克服するための戦略プランを策定、実行する
• 外部の政策ステークホルダー(KOL、患者アドボケート、アカデミア、医療政策関係者等)と関係を構築、維持する
• 業界活動への参画、貢献を通じて、希少疾患領域におけるアレクシオンの存在感を拡大する
• 社員へ医療制度・規制の教育機会を提供する
• 医療制度・規制に関する社内外からの問い合わせに対し回答、助言を行う
• マーケティング、メディカル、広報、ペイシェントアドボカシー、R&D、グローバルなど社内の主要な部署と円滑に連携をする
必要要件
• 与えられた課題に対して情熱を持ち、責任を果たすことができる
• チームまたはプロジェクトのリーダーとしてのリーダーシップ経験がある
• 社内外のステークホルダーと効果的にコミュニケーションし、協働できる能力がある
• 優れた問題解決能力と戦略的思考を有する
• 社内外の変化に対する柔軟性と適応力がある
• 日本語に堪能であることが必須;英語力(尚可)
• 希少疾病領域に関する科学的知識および政策知識を有する(尚可)
• AI/SaMDに関する知識を有する(尚可)
• ヘルスケア政策の知識があり、政府機関とのコミュニケーション経験がある(尚可)
• コンサルティング会社などでの戦略策定、問題解決実績(尚可)
資格
• 学士号(必須)
• 上位学位(例:MBA、MPH、MPP)(尚可)
