This is what you will do:

The Field Reimbursement Manager (FRM) willbe responsible formanaging accounts in a specified regionfocusing onbut not limited tothe Pacific Northwest.The FRMis responsible forproviding access and reimbursement education to HCP office personnel including medical policies, prior authorization requirements, coding and billing, product access via buy-bill or specialty pharmacy and site of care options and restrictions with the goal of minimizing barriers to therapy. The FRM also supports by providing general education and case-specific guidance in response to PA denials andpost-servicereimbursement issues.

You willbe responsible for

  • Partneringwith Alexion cross-functional partners on overall account and territory strategy to maximize internal/external customer knowledge on payor policy and processes

  • Being a subject matter expert onreimbursement and regional-specific accesslandscape.This includesmedical/pharmacybenefitdesign,payer policies, prior authorization requirements, denials, appeals, peer to peer and other educationrequiredto navigate accessfor coverage of Alexion therapies

  • Creatingshort-term & long-term strategic account plans focusedon increasingcustomers knowledgefor key accounts

  • Collaborating with AlexionOneSourcePatientServices on individual case management needs related to HCP education on reimbursement issues

  • Leveragingall available resources including internal data to develop and execute account plans/call purpose

  • Complying withall laws, regulations and policies that govern the conduct of Alexion activities; works with the highest degree of professionalism andin accordance withthe company’s code of Ethics and Business Conduct 

  • Complying withannual budget allocation within respective territory

You will need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 5-7years' experiencein the healthcare and/or pharmaceutical/ biotech industry

  • 3+years' experienceworking with buy and bill and/or specialty pharmacy networks 

  • Understanding of access process frommedical/pharmacy benefit design,Rx to infusion/injection 

  • Experience with products that require prior authorization and clear understanding of related billing,codingand in-office support 

  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonalcommunicationand presentation skills 

  • Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels, inside and outside of the company

  • Ability to educate physicians and other healthcare professionals with confidence andexpertisein an office procedural environment

  • Demonstrated strong cross-functional collaboration skills, business planning, rapportbuildingand active listening skills

  • Problem solver with a sense of urgency

  • Demonstrated technical aptitude and workingproficiencyin using iPad and workingproficiencyin Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

  • Ability to travel to work related meetings and functions and ability to travel overnight for[2-4]nights per week

  • Ability to travel up to 75%

  • Ability to drive to assigned targets within the territoryusing Fleet Vehicle that is provided by the company

  • A valid driver's license and clean driving record

  • Ability to travel regionally and cover large multi-state territories

  • Mustresidein the region; relocationassistanceis not provided

We would prefer for you to have:

  • Rare disease experience

  • 3+ years of field reimbursement experience

  • Understanding of the top payerswithin the assigned geography

  • Experience in launching a new specialty pharmaceutical/biologic product or new productindication

  • Experience working through complex reimbursement issues
